March for Macragge: Part 6

Hi all, my first Ultramarines post of 2020 and I've painted a few things so far this year.  My new editions to my painted roster this year are a unit of Eliminators with bolt sniper rifles, a unit of 5 Incursors and a Primaris Lieutenant with power sword.

I now nearly have full company of Ultramarines painted with my captian and lieutenants having multiple models so they can be deployed with a variety of different load outs.

Eliminators are good little units that can do good damage if left alone and are resilient while in cover if the enemy decides to fire on them distracting for more valuable units.

Incusors are becoming a favourite unit of mine, being able to forward deploy, bully other infiltrating units, take objectives early and as they ignore to hit modifiers as well as exploding 6s in combat helps them with their role to deal with other infiltrating troops.

My Ultramarines are taking a bit of a back seat for a while but hopefully I will be bringing more updates on my other projects while we're under lockdown.

Tournament Operations: Alpha Game Warhammer 40000 - 2000 points - 15th March 2020

Last year I started off the Tournament Operations post with a trip to Alpha Games near Bury St Edmunds for a 1750 point 40k tournament in June, so this March I am going to return to Alpha Games for a 2000 point 40k tournament.  I will be hoping to do better this year than last as I've had a whole year of gaming plus another event to (hopefully) improve.  I will be taking my Ultramarines along again but this time without a Imperial Knight to support them as I have more Ultramarines units so no longer need it  to make the points level and also this will allow me to use the Combat Doctrines rule that Space Marines have received since my last visit.

March for Macragge: Part 5

Hi all, this will be my final post for the Ultramarines in 2019 (but don't worry I already have plans for 2020 for them).  In November/December I painted up 2 squads of Eliminators with Las Fusils and Captain in Phobos Armour to complete my planned list for an event.  One of the big features on all of these models is the camo cloaks, which nothing I've painted so far has had, so as my basing was a winter urban style I went with a urban camo style.

March for Macragge: Part 4

Hi all, its not been too long since my last one but I wanted to get back to doing these at the end of a month after missing that last one.  This month I have been painting up a Leviathan Siege Dreadnought with two Storm Cannons to add some brutal firepower able to threaten hordes and vehicles to my Ultramarines.

Here are the pictures of the finished Leviathan ready to gun down the enemies of the Imperium;

March for Macragge: Part 3

So this post is a bit late being the middle of October, but sometimes real life gets in the way so hobby time so I haven't had anything to show you till now.  This month (and a half) I have painted Chief Librarian Tigurius to add to my Ultramarines command cadre.

March for Macragge: Part 1 - An Ultramarines Project by Neil

Hi all, welcome to my first post in my March for Macragge series, in which I'll be sharing how my Ultramarines are progressing each month to continue to build on what I've already done as part of our group Mustering for Vigilus series.  The month (June '19 if you're reading this in the "future") I have painted up a Lieutenant in Phobos armour and a Repulsor to add to my Ultramarines.  If you read my epilogue post for Mustering for Vigilus then this wouldn't come as a surprise but you can now find some close up pictures of these below.

Painting Guide: Neil's Alarith Stoneguard

 Hi all Neil here with a guide on how I painted up my Alarith Stoneguard for my growing Lumineth army.  This is more of a post for myself to...
