Bash the Backlog; Lockdown Edition - by Medge

Welcome back to Bash the Backlog, a mini-series in which I try to correct that most egregious of hobby sins; the huge pile of unpainted plastic!

It's been over six months since my last #BashtheBacklog entry (see Sigmar's Storm for that one!), with most of my backlog work coming as part of Blood of the Angel and For the Greater Good series. I have, however, worked on a few other projects in between these major series; palette-cleanser models between projects or odds-and-ends that either needed tying off, or were supposed to trigger a bigger project that never took off.

As one of my final posts of the year I wanted to capture these one-off projects in a single post so they don't become forgotten, and can act as a little inspiration for what I hope will be a brighter 2021!

So let's jump into it!

For the Lion: Reconnaissance in Force

Hi all, its not been too long since my last post for this project but I've been on a bit of a painting spree at the moment.  My newly completed unit is 3 skyhunters on scimitar jetbikes for my Dark Angels Legion forces, these models are really cool and in game will make a good start to a Ravenwing Protocol force.  I actually bought these models at the Games Day when Forgeworld first released the Age of Darkness game so they've been waiting a while to get some paint.

For the Lion: Leading the Legion of Old

Hi all, it's been a bit since my last dark angels update but I have been painting some more and I now have something to show you for the age of darkness dark angels legion force that I am also painting.  The first model for this is the Dark Angels Praetor in Cataphractii Armour from fw.  This model has Gothic knightly charm in spades with its angular helm, spiked armour, cloak and broad sword.

Legio Praesagius: Part 3; Princepts Senoris Inbound

+++ All hail the Omnisiah's chosen +++
+++ Princepts Senoris inbound +++
+++ Let the enemies of the Master of Mankind tremble +++

My next titan is now finished and it's a big one, a Warlord class battle titan to be exact.  This will be my Princepts Senoris for now and completes my Axiom maniple to minimum strength ready for some gaming once we're all allowed within 2m of each other again.  Here are some pictures;

Legio Praesagius: Part 2; Recon In Force

+++ Mission Parameters: Advance ahead of main battle group +++
+++ Locate enemy battlegroup +++
+++ Guide friendly battlegroup to engagement +++
+++ Harass enemy +++
+++ For the Legio, For the Emperor-Omnissiah +++

Hi all, it has been a while since I last posted about my AT18 titan but I have now completed another titan to add to the Legio force in a Warhound with two vulcan megabolters (which is not quite the two warhounds I said I would get painted in the last one).

March for Macragge: Part 4

Hi all, its not been too long since my last one but I wanted to get back to doing these at the end of a month after missing that last one.  This month I have been painting up a Leviathan Siege Dreadnought with two Storm Cannons to add some brutal firepower able to threaten hordes and vehicles to my Ultramarines.

Here are the pictures of the finished Leviathan ready to gun down the enemies of the Imperium;

Legio Praesagius: Part 1; Patent Granted

+++ Patent Granted: Legio Presagius +++
+++ Forge World Assigned: Gantz; Konor System; Ultramar; Segmentum Ultima +++
+++ Legio Grade: Primaris +++
+++ All Hail The Machine God And His Omnissiah +++

Hi all, I have started up a Legio Presagius force for Adeptus Titanicus from the Forge World Specialist Games Team.  I've been watching videos about this game on the Warhammer TV twitch channel since it came out and it looks awesome.  I decided to start my force with the staple of the 40k Legios the Reaver Battle Titan but in the Horus Heresy setting they take the second place spot behind the might Warlord.

My Reaver is armed with a Melta Cannon, Volcano Cannon and Turbo Laser Destroyer so in game it is very good at cracking the armour on titans but doesn't have the volume of shots to deal with the void shields so will need support from other titans with these kind of weapons when it comes to my legio's first walk.

Painting Guide: Neil's Alarith Stoneguard

 Hi all Neil here with a guide on how I painted up my Alarith Stoneguard for my growing Lumineth army.  This is more of a post for myself to...
